Cascais

Cascais is a cosmopolitan town rich in culture and laid back charm. It is a spectacular seaside resort just 30 km from Lisbon, surrounded by gorgeous beaches, overlooking which are stunning cliffs. The coastline linking Lisbon and Cascais is truly breathtaking, with unspoilt natural scenery and a beautiful climate. A haven for relaxation, there is also much to see and do here. One of the outstanding features of this area of Portugal is the food, especially fresh seafood and shellfish, which can be sampled in the many local restaurants. You will spend most of your time in Cascais drifting through the alluring narrow streets, uncovering trendy shops and souvenir outlets and sampling excellent local restaurants and lively bars.

There are 7 golf courses located nearby and a number of lovely attractive beaches, the most famous of which is Guincho beach which is ideal for surfing and has held the World Windsurfing Championhips in the past. Take pleasure in the breath-taking promenade walk from Cascais beach to Esoril and pause to enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee in an old fashioned local café as you continue to explore this picturesque town further.
