Join us on this fantastic pilgrimage to Padua and Assisi, visiting spectacular shrines and exploring places of magnificent beauty.

The tour starts in Padua, where we will spend three nights. Padua or Padova, is one of Italy’s prettiest cities and the place where Saint Anthony lived for most of his life. The 13th-century Basilica of St Anthony was built in his honour for pilgrims to visit the Saint’s tomb and place their prayers and petitions.

From Padua, we will travel to Assisi, the homeplace of Saint Francis. We will enjoy a walking tour of Assisi visiting the main sights of this wonderful medieval city including the Basilica of Saint Francis, the Basilica of Saint Clare, and the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels where we will get to see the Porziuncola, the small chapel built by Saint Francis where he lived and where he started the Franciscan Order

The last part of our pilgrimage will be Cascia and Roccaporena. Cascia is important in the history of Catholic Christianity because it is the birthplace of Saint Rita. Here we will visit the Basilica of Santa Rita da Cascia. The Basilica of Saint Rita or tomb of Saint Rita is one of the most famous shrines in Cascia and a beautiful space for its magnificent architecture and art.

In Roccaporena also believed to be the place where Saint Rita prayed and lived we will visit Casa Natal de Santa Rita or “The House of Saint Rita” where the Saint was born and her family home, the Orto del Miracolo or “Miracle Orchard”, and Santuario di Saint Rita, a sanctuary dedicated to the Saint.

Our team of pilgrimage and travel experts has prepared a full itinerary, led by the Spiritual Director and our knowledgeable guides and representatives, to make this a memorable experience for pilgrims.
