The Diocese of Lancaster Lourdes Pilgrimage 2026, led by the Bishop of Lancaster Rt. Rev Paul Swarbrick, will take place from 23rd to 30th July.

The Lourdes pilgrimage package includes direct return flights from Liverpool, transfer and assistance between airport and your hotel on arrival and departure, hotel accommodation on full board basis and full assistance of Joe Walsh Tours guides and representatives throughout the pilgrimage and at airports.

A full religious programme has been organised by Joe Walsh Tours in conjunction with the Diocese of Lancaster. Accommodation for the Youth Section is available at Hotel  Eliseo.

The Diocese of Lancaster Lourdes Pilgrimage Youth Section is open to all young people 15 – 21 years of age. Price is £829 per person sharing. The cost of the Pilgrimage for the youth has been subsidised by the Lancaster Diocese.

You must undertake the following commitments:

  •  Uphold the Christian ethos of the pilgrimage
  • Participate fully in the activities of the Pilgrimage, and the Lancaster Youth programme
  • Attend the Preparation Day and any other post departure meetings or events notified
  • Behave responsibly at all times
  • Not to bring the Pilgrimage into disrepute – both in person and through use of social media and other forms of media/communication
  • Not to use foul or degrading language
  • No consumption of alcohol (for those under 18 years of age)
  • To wear Diocese of Lancaster Youth T shirts whilst on duty
  • To act upon the help, advice and guidance of all Pilgrimage leaders

Itinerary

  • Direct flight from Liverpool to Lourdes
  • Transfer on arrival to accommodation in Lourdes
  • 7 nights’ hotel accommodation based on sharing 4 bedded rooms
  • Breakfast, lunch & dinner each day
  • Transfer from hotel to Lourdes Airport
  • Direct flight from Lourdes to Liverpool
  • 1 x 20kg check-in bag & 1 x small cabin bag per person
