Divine Mercy
Embark on a spiritual journey in the countries of Divine Mercy devotion, Poland and Lithuania; following in the footsteps of Saint Faustina Kowalska and Pope John Paul II.
POLAND
In Poland, we will explore its important religious sites, from the birthplace of Pope John Paul II in Wadowice to the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Lagiewniki, Krakow, resting place of Saint Faustina.
The Divine Mercy Sanctuary has become one of Poland’s most loved pilgrimage destinations since the beatification and canonisation of Saint Faustina in 2000.
We will also travel to Poland’s spiritual centre: the holy city of Czestochowa. The Chapel of the Blessed Virgin at the wonderful Jasna Gora Monastery, is home to ‘The Black Madonna’. This painting is believed to have been painted by Saint Luke the Evangelist and to have miraculous powers.
LITHUANIA
In Lithuania, we will visit Vilnius, the City of Mercy, where the image of the Divine Mercy was painted by a local artist guided by Saint Faustina and where the devotion started before spreading across the world.
Saint Faustina Kowalska lived and worked in Vilnius, and it was during her time as part of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy when she received her revelations. Encouraged by her spiritual director, Faustina started recording her visions in her diary.
We will also embark on a journey across Lithuania to explore its Catholic heritage, visiting wonderful towns, centuries-old shrines, as well as fascinating sites such as the Hill of Crosses, the Marian site of Šiluva, beautiful Kaunas and Tytuvėnai monastery.
We will also learn about the unique tradition of cross crafting across Lithuania, which is included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Our Divine Mercy pilgrimage tours are fully escorted and led by a knowledgeable spiritual director and pilgrimage guide. Check out upcoming departures or talk to our team to organise a group trip.
