The Garden Route is a truly beautiful stretch of coastline running from Mossel Bay to the Tsitsikamma National Park. It is a popular self-drive route, taking in breathtaking scenery, with beautiful beaches, championship golf courses, lakes and lagoons between majestic mountains, lush forests and picturesque villages.

Mossel Bay is a charming coastal village with a sun kissed peninsula that enjoys a mild climate all year round. The surrounding waters of the Indian Ocean provide a playground for water-lovers with a variety of exciting activities to chose from, including shark cage diving. Food enthusiasts will relish the opportunity to sample the world-class local mussels.

George is a pretty town nestled at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains and is a golfers paradise with 3 of South Africa's "top ten" golf courses to be found here. It is a popular stop off for a trip on the famous Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe stream strain.

Knysna is a quaint village surrounded by spectacular mountain passes, indigenous forests & beautiful lakes. Its two sandstone cliffs - Knysna Heads - flank the mouth of the lagoon, which spills into the sea.

Oudtshoorn, capital of the Klein Karoo, enjoys a relaxed, friendly and hospitable atmosphere and is famed for its ostrich breeding farms.

From adrenalin filled activities to whale watching and lazy beach days, there is so much to see and do on the Garden Route, no matter what level of activity you enjoy.
